American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Excellent selection of all things sweet and dessert-ish! The selection changes with seasons and holidays so there's always something new to try! Our current favorites are the dark chocolate covered pineapple and the coconut patty (tastes like a Mounds bar).

If you’re here for the Nuttle’s they are beyond overhyped. It tastes like raw pecans that are not roasted. There’s zero roasted flavor, the nuts are soft, slightly salty, the caramel is extremely soft. It’s not chewy whatsoever. It’s not what you would expect around say a candied apple type of caramel and the chocolate is so bland that tastes like those wax melts they sell at Michael’s craft store to make cake pops with. You can make better ones at home. This is just terrible. It’s $15.99+ tax so it comes out to $17 and change per pack. The catch: Limited 2 per person Available only Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They have them available around 1 to 2 PM but they sell out immediately once it’s out as there are hoards of people waiting to buy them. I don’t know why. They look way better than they taste. Make them at home with better quality, chocolate, and roasted nuts.

We read the good reviews about the churro toffee sold at Candy Palace, so while in the park there, we had to give it atry. It was amazing, the caramel flavor in the inside, the churro top with sugar and cinammon that goes perfect together. All of us agreed is the best we have ever tried. Delicious!!

Came here for the handmade rocky road. Its only made on Tuesday, we got lucky and found a couple out for sale on a Saturday. Stuff is so good. The treats never disappoint here.

Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen has an amazing selection of goodies, sweet sugary treats and seasonal items. Lots of sugar!! This place is connected to the Penny Arcade. The kitchen has a glass window so you can watch the candy makers in action. Prices are on the high side. They have freshly made treats daily by the master confectioners. The vibrant colors and attractive displays evoke the magic of childhood. This place is definitely sweet tooth heaven.
